Consensus is a solution that meets the criteria we require. At the same time, it is supported by everyone involved in the topic.
In a sense, consensus is the art of compromise, and certainly reaching an agreement through discussion.
Perfect solutions that all of you agree with all probably do not exist. The art of reaching an agreement in a given matter, i.e. a consensus, is probably one of the most important skills in everyday life as well as in professional life.

In each of them, solutions were proposed to improve the current state or problem. But it is the choice of the most important, most important from the point of view of solving the problem, that would not be possible without reaching a common position = consensus.
What gives us a compromise?
What? An extremely important element, that is the sense of the individual’s influence on the final decision, the chosen direction or result in a given matter.
Consensus develops in a team, so everyone can express their opinion, and in the event of a difference of views – give arguments that speak for a given solution.

How to evaluate ideas effectively?
Contrary to appearances, it is as difficult as the process of collecting ideas. This is the time to identify the most important issue, the best solution to the problem from the point of view of the experience of the team involved in the analysis.
Achieving consensus is important for everyone to be consistent and convinced of the right decision.
How can you evaluate ideas?
1 # Expert judgment
Ideas are evaluated by a group of specialists in a given area / area of the company’s activity. In this way, the best solutions in the field of technology, technical aspects, machines, specialist tools, etc. are most often made.
Such an evaluation committee is chosen for a reason, only it has the necessary knowledge to give an opinion on a given idea. On this basis, the suggestion is accepted or rejected.
3 # “Open” vote
This form of assessment of ideas probably has the greatest potential for discussion, and thus – striving to reach a compromise among the group of people choosing suggestions.
The manner of conducting such a vote may look like this: each participant speaks about each idea, presents arguments and then indicates the preferred ideas from the most important to the least important ones.
Thanks to this, all submitted ideas can be discussed, which greatly affects the achievement of a compromise.
4 # “Implicit” voting
Unlike open voting, this form strongly limits the possibility of discussing a given idea. What counts in this case is the subjective opinion of the evaluation team members.
The method of conducting such a vote may be done by numbering each application. Then the participants on the cards give their vote to the idea supported. This idea / solution method, which receives the largest number of votes, is chosen for implementation.
